International

Alexander is a member of the World Federation of the Deaf (WFD) since 2007. He is also a permanent organizer of the D.C.-based international film festival on the behalf of a local D.C.-based organization, DCAD.

ASLFilmFestival.com	Founder, board liaison, director and event chairperson of the biannual international event, D.C. Deaf Film Festival (formerly DCAD ASL Film Festival and D.C. ASL Film Festival), since its inception in 2008.

National

Alexander is a member of the National Association of the Deaf (NAD) since 2006. Alexander also volunteers some of his time helping and serving other organizations (see below for some of the examples)

Served as a DC delegate (state representative of the District of Columbia) to the 2008 NAD Conference in New Orleans, LA. Attended the 2006 NAD Conference in Palm Springs, CA under two capacities: as a Gallaudet GSA President (to help educate the public on the FSSA and the reasons for the Unity for Gallaudet protest movement); and as a Graduate School representative (to help explain the Gallaudet graduate school life and give advices to potential graduate students).

Served as a media specialist and committee member on the USA Deaf Sports Federation (USADSF) New Year's Eve Fundraising Gala Committee Ran the live fundraising event at the event on December 31, 2008

Local

Alexander is a member of the District Columbia Association of the Deaf (DCAD) since 2007. He is also a member of the Kendall Parent Teacher Association (KPTA) since 2009.

Currently serves as the Vice President and a Board of Directors member of DCAD since 2007. Team leader and lead coordinator of the DCAD Public Relations team. Member of the Web Planning Committee Co-coordinator and board laison member of the Event Planning Committee responsible for numerous community events (e.g., Wine & Cheese Tasting Event, All Hallow's Eve Costume Ball, State Conference, Community Workshops, and Town Hall meetings).
